Innovative technologies, with the recent focus on decision analytics, provide the main source of competitive advantages for the Hong Kong’s economic growth. Many companies have strong needs to transform and improve their business by innovative technologies, especially decision analytics which is considered as the next phase of artificial intelligence - using machines to make decisions, in real world, dynamic environments under different sources of uncertainty.

With the collaboration efforts of academia and the government, this Decision Analytics Outstanding Award was established by Big Data Intelligence Centre (BDIC) in 2022. This decision analytics outstanding award aims to recognize outstanding decision analytics inventions and applications among industries, through promoting signature event of industry award and case studies. Thereby, more excellence Hong Kong’s talent and enterprises would be encouraged to pursuit of innovation and creativity on business and social needs. This industry award focuses on the impact of decision analytics technologies including, but not limited to, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data analytics, digital workforce, etc. Those technologies are considered as the major driving forces for the companies to compete in the dynamic business environment nowadays. To prepare for the industry award, case studies, seminars and talks will be organized to attract the interested companies. In addition, we will invite experts in the field for investigating and evaluating the impact of decision analytics on companies’ practices.
